'Newsdays'
In the first two years of my journalism course, we would be put in situations which reflected a standard newsroom. Working for a fixed eight hour period, we would have to find, interview and compile stories, which we would update over the course of the day. Each week would differ in terms of roles, with the role of editor, sub-editor and reporter up for grabs. I alternated between the three across the six weeks of the print newsday's and likewise with the five weeks of radio newsday's.
